Amazon Web Services is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the VP of Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) and the Executive team. The right candidate will be a self-starter who gives strong attention to detail, has the ability to anticipate and address problems, efficient organizational skills, and strong multitasking abilities. This role requires the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is important, as is professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company. A good sense of humor will bolster success.
The candidate must have a proven track record of providing remarkable support, as well as experience in managing programs across a distributed organization. The successful candidate will have an understanding of business priorities, demonstrate the ability to learn and proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for leaders of a sales team to serve customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Interacting with Board Level Assistants and equivalents on the customer side
• Manage multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements
• Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
• Update team organizational charts
• Manage group logistics
• Coordinate domestic and international travel
• Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, and team social events)
• Work with other assistants throughout the Business Development and Strategic Industries (BDSI) team and across the rest of the company.
A day in the life
You are the guide and path finder of your Amazon executive, to successfully build trust with our customers, being customer obsessed and delivering results. You coordinate your executives meetings (external/internal), logistics, travel as well as you partner with the executive very closely to align all activities to serve the respective team members in its unit and our customer best. You continuously challenge yourself and your executive how to become more efficient going forward.

The AWS Industries team is committed to helping industry customers enable their digital transformation journeys. Our primary goal is to meet customers where they are in their cloud journey and work backwards from their industry specific needs to transform their business and their entire industry. Our team focuses on nine strategic commercial industries including Automotive, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, Games, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment, Retail & Consumer Goods, and Telecommunications; as well as Strategic Accounts, and AI Business Development. Our team speaks the language of our industry customers, which means that we focus on business outcomes and industry use cases on behalf of our customers, whether that is how we build products and solutions, how we sell, how we deliver, or how we partner.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience
- Experience with executive level calendar management
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience
- Experience with end-to-end project management
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
- Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
