    Overview

     

    Plan, develop, and oversee Workplace Experience initiatives that support a people-centric culture. Assist in leading impactful tasks and managing daily operations to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for all patrons of the recreation center. Monitor facility usage, assist guests with questions and reservations, maintain equipment, and enforce rules and policies.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with influencing workplace experience strategies by providing insight-rich recommendations based on team member experience and industry trends

    + Provide accurate information about facility amenities, hours, reservations, and event guidelines

    + Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for both patrons and staff, addressing questions, resolving concerns, and promoting a welcoming environment through clear communication and attentive service

    + Plan and coordinate logistics and activities related to location initiatives, including facility usage, rentals, reservations, and event guidelines

    + Supports the scheduling, coordination, and successful execution of employee recreation leagues, ensuring smooth operations and positive participant experiences

    + Provide analysis of event operations/results including expenses, participation, employee feedback, facility usage logs and report discrepancies, no shows, or issues

    + Supports recreational programs and functions are successfully executed as planned through equipment setup, supervision, and breakdown for scheduled activities

    + Provide recommendations to enhance workplace experience and propose new solutions to meet employee and organizational needs

    + Review processes and operations to automate, streamline, reduce expenses, and improve operating efficiencies, including monitoring and maintaining equipment and facility standards

    + Identifies and corrects safety hazards to prevent unsafe behavior or misuse of equipment, while also monitoring, maintaining, and logging routine checks for outdoor fitness equipment, sports gear, and employee league equipment

    + Collaborate with Security and support teams to enforce all recreation center rules and policies to maintain a safe and respectful environment, while promptly and professionally addressing and reporting incidents, accidents, or violations

    + Assist with enhancing employee engagement by identifying opportunities to collect employee feedback, glean insights, share key themes with senior leadership, and partner on a variety of initiatives

    + Assume full managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Recreation Center Manager

     

    Perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with operational needs, leadership directives, or as otherwise appropriate

    Qualifications

    + Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity

    + Experience in performing clerical or administrative duties/responsibilities

    + Ability to adapt to fluctuating work-flow

    + Demonstrates ability to work with people at all levels and a strong commitment to customer service excellence

    + Working knowledge of Navy Federal policies, and instructions

    + Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

    + Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines

    + Effective skill working with diverse internal and external contacts

    + Advanced skill communicating verbally or in writing and collaborating with all levels within an organization

    + Advanced skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations

    + Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

    + Advanced verbal and written communication skills

    + Valid Driver’s License required

    + Physical capable of performing duties involving ladders, confined spaces, and lifting equipment or furnishings up to 50 lbs

    Desired Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or related field, or the equivalent combination of experience, education and training

    + CPR/First Aid certification

    + Prior experience in customer service, recreation programming, or facility operations

    + Experience with IntelliBooking Software

     

    Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00AM - 7:30PM (Full time on-site)
