**Pay Range:** $16.48 - $25.96 per hour

Summary:
The Radiology Reading Room Assistant works intimately with the radiologists of the department to ensure smooth operation of the radiology department workflow. Their primary responsibility/goal is to improve the efficiency of the radiologists, while also supporting the needs of referring physicians/clinicians when they interface with the radiology department

Responsibilities:
Job **Responsibilities:**
1. Operate as a person of first contact for physicians and other clinicians in need of support from the radiologists, ensuring that those in need of help reach the person most optimally able to assist more quickly.
2. Manage all incoming and outcoming calls
3. Assist the radiologists in contacting physicians and other clinicians outside of the reading room, including the delivery of critical results
4. Greet physicians and other clinicians who enter the reading room and direct them to the most appropriate radiologist
5. Assist in uploading and opening outside exams for comparison on an available workstation
6. Clarify orders from referring physicians and other clinicians, as needed/requested
7. Take messages when needed and ensure the loop is closed on requests
8. Help to maintain and curate the best contact information for various services, as well as for Rush and outside hospital clinics
9. Routinely review various Epic Radiology Reading Worklists to ensure timely completion of exams; place help desk tickets in collaboration with the radiologists if studies need to be edited or removed
10. Liaise with IS staff to catalog workstation issues and coordinate with various teams to ensure these issues are addressed in a timely manner
11. Request additional sequences or reconstructions from radiology technologists at the direction of the radiologists, and alert radiologists when the requested sequences/reconstructions are in PACS
12. Manage supplies in the reading room
