The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare invites you to join our dedicated team in the Bureau of Long Term Care within the Division of Medicaid. We’re looking for aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)who is passionate about helping others live independently and with dignity. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
+ Personal Care Services (PCS)
+ Aged & Disabled (A&D) Waiver programs You’ll travel to participants’ homes, explain available services, and complete comprehensive evaluations to help individuals access Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)—allowing them to remain in their homes rather than entering institutional care. Your assessments directly support participants with essential daily needs like bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
+ Answering questions about HCBS and supplemental services
+ Assisting with provider-related concerns
+ Clarifying service authorizations and eligibility Your guidance ensures participants receive the right care at the right time.
+ Documentation and correspondence
+ Participation in staff meetings
+ General office duties that keep operations running smoothly
+ Conducting regulatory compliance reviews through client sampling
+ Assessing clients’ health, emotional, and rehabilitative needs
+ Observing care delivery and conducting interviews to ensure services meet state and federal standards
+ Applying critical thinking and clinical judgment to evaluate care quality
+ Writing clear, concise, and legally sound reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.
