Job Title: Product ManagerJob Description

The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping future vehicle concepts and strategic initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of the automotive market, customer needs, and competitive landscape, with a strong focus on North American markets. The Product Manager will collaborate across departments and with U.S. sales affiliates to ensure alignment on customer expectations and brand positioning.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and present proposals for future vehicles, features, powertrain options, and trim strategies.

+ Advocate for customer needs and preferences in North America.

+ Conduct industry and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.

+ Support innovation workshops and corporate initiatives.

+ Create executive-level reports and presentations for U.S. and Korean leadership.

+ Lead benchmarking activities and analyze vehicle feedback.

+ Attend trade shows to gather insights and report trends.

+ Respond to ad-hoc requests from Korea HQ.

+ Design and execute customer research, including interviews, focus groups, and ride & drives.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

+ 3+ years of experience in product strategy, market analysis, or related automotive roles.

+ Proficiency in analyzing automotive data and trends.

+ Ability to understand and communicate complex product concepts effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience providing design input based on customer research, industry trends, and competitive benchmarking.

Work Environment

The position offers a flexible work schedule with the option of working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. This is a 1st shift position with a flexible start time. The role involves partial involvement in the product lifecycle, focusing on early-stage strategy, feature planning, and customer research.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
