Job Title: Safety Manager (Field and Fleet Operations)

Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Manager (Field and Fleet Operations) to lead safety oversight across job sites and manage the company’s vehicle fleet. This position is ideal for a professional who values fieldwork, operational consistency, and proactive safety management. The role combines hands-on site safety inspections with fleet compliance responsibilities, contributing directly to the safety and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct site visits prior to crew arrival to identify and mitigate safety hazards.

+ Inspect for compliance with regulations related to power lines, underground utilities, chemicals, and other environmental risks.

+ Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to field crews.

+ Prepare and submit detailed safety reports for each site visit.

+ Oversee vehicle safety and maintenance schedules, including oil changes and inspections.

+ Monitor GPS data to track vehicle speeds and driver behavior.

+ Ensure all drivers complete certified defensive driving training.

+ Manage documentation and reporting for vehicle-related incidents.

+ Verify legal compliance for all fleet tools and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
