About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 7–12 years of experience to join our engineering team. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and reliability of our software systems, particularly in support of ruggedized avionics and communications devices for military applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in software testing and requirements management, with a passion for testing.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop, execute, and maintain software test procedures.
+ Review and analyze requirements and specifications to ensure test coverage.
+ Create and maintain traceability links using IBM DOORS.
+ Implement and manage requirement procedures.
+ Perform requirement gathering and translate them into actionable test plans.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance.
+ Utilize scripting languages (Python, C#) to automate and enhance testing processes.
+ Work with GIT and Bitbucket for version control and code management.
+ Conduct testing on product/hardware-based devices, ensuring software functionality aligns with physical system requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or closely related field.
+ 7 to 12 years of professional experience in software testing.
+ Proficiency in IBM DOORS, including traceability and linking.
+ Experience with requirement gathering and implementation.
+ Strong scripting skills in Python or C#.
+ Familiarity with GIT and Bitbucket.
+ Must be eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
+ Must have experience testing software for product/hardware-based devices.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
