    Job Title: Design Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves creating detailed product design drawings using mainly AutoCAD but also Solidworks, as well as managing multiple projects in the power boiler industry.

    Responsibilities

    + Create and maintain product design drawings in AutoCAD and Solidworks.

    + Generate Bill of Materials in Excel for ordering all necessary job materials.

    + Review drawings, contracts, and proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    + Produce full-size templates from AutoCAD files to be used on the shop floor for checking bend configurations.

    + Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks.

    + Experience in project management, capable of handling 5-10 projects at a time.

    + Familiarity with manufacturing processes, particularly in piping and tubes.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Technical Drafting Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

    + 5-10 years of experience in the power industry is preferred.

    + Experience with milling machines, sheet metal, and laser cutting is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a manufacturing shop, requiring approximately 10% travel to client sites for measurement gathering. The company offers a stable working environment within the power boiler industry.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Lyman, South Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

     

    Medical, dental, vision, 401K <5 years of experience = 3 weeks of PTO plus 11 paid Holidays

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Lyman,SC.
