We are seeking a skilled automation technician to join our team at a highly automated distribution center. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting and reworking controls systems for advanced material handling equipment.
+ A large material handling system has just been developed and installed at a new warehouse in Ft. Worth, and they need an advanced automation tech to work onsite to be the "go-to" controls person if anything goes awry.
+ Opportunity to be a lead on shift
Responsibilities
+ Maintain and repair control systems for equipment like conveyors, robots, palletizers, and scanners.
+ Diagnose and fix electrical and control issues to minimize downtime.
+ Work onsite with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical problems.
+ Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
+ Provide technical support to clients and ensure their satisfaction.
+ Train and mentor junior team members.
+ Follow all safety protocols and standards.
Essential Skills
+ Knowledge/experience in material handling systems
+ Experience programming/developing PLC systems - editing/troubleshooting
+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical and PLC issues within systems
Work Environment
The position requires working 3 12-hour shifts one week and 4 12-hour shifts the next week.
+ Schedules are either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, with an expectation to work every other Saturday.
+ The shift can be either day or night, depending on preference.
This is a warehousing environment where active participation on the floor is necessary.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
