Job Description
As a Medical Scribe, you will play a vital role in documenting physician visits within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and scribing for multiple physicians. You will also be hands-on with various instruments as directed by physicians, perform patient work-ups post-visit, and communicate with patients based on the documented plan provided by the doctor.
Responsibilities
+ Document physician visits in the EMR system.
+ Scribe for multiple physicians.
+ Handle instruments as instructed by the physician.
+ Conduct patient work-ups after doctor visits.
+ Communicate with patients based on the doctor's documented plan.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of on-site scribing experience.
+ Proficiency in medical assisting/medical terminology, patient care, EMR, and data entry.
+ Bilingual in Spanish.
+ Typing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ophthalmic experience preferred.
+ Multi-tasking abilities.
+ Ability to handle a high volume of patient care.
+ Driven personality.
Work Environment
The position offers a dynamic work environment with a Monday through Friday schedule. Shifts will be scheduled between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on clinic needs. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel beyond the primary clinic.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
