Job Description
Design and develop wire harnesses for rotorcraft electrical systems using Siemens Capital Harness System (CHS). Generate detailed 2D/3D harness drawings, schematics, and documentation to support design, manufacturing, and certification. Collaborate with avionics, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components. Apply aerospace standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-160, AS50881) and Bell-specific design practices to ensure compliance and reliability. Conduct design reviews and support verification and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle. Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and support harness fabrication. Maintain configuration control and manage design changes through PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop wire harnesses for rotorcraft electrical systems.
+ Generate and manage detailed 2D/3D harness drawings, schematics, and documentation.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for seamless component integration.
+ Apply aerospace standards and specific design practices for compliance and reliability.
+ Conduct design reviews and support verification and validation activities.
+ Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues.
+ Maintain configuration control and manage design changes using PLM systems.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
+ 3+ years of experience in wire harness design within aerospace or defense environments.
+ Proficiency in Siemens Capital tools (CHS, Capital Logic, Capital Design).
+ Strong understanding of aerospace electrical systems, EMI/EMC mitigation, and environmental constraints.
+ Familiarity with aircraft certification requirements and documentation standards.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Siemens software such as 3DX and CATIA.
+ Familiarity with maintaining configuration control through PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
Work Environment
Work on-site in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams and engaging with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
