    We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for a new graduate looking to gain valuable laboratory skills and professional experience within a growing food manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct product and microbiology testing.

    + Perform computer data entry and maintenance.

    + Set up testing tables for daily samples and maintain sample retention.

    + Test raw ingredients and resample totes, including nonconforming and experimental totes.

    + Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HAACPs), and safety rules and regulations.

    + Complete all individual training as outlined by the training matrix or management training schedule.

    + Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Lab Lead.

    Essential Skills

    + BS in Biology or Microbiology (AAS considered).

    + Experience in laboratory settings.

    + Proficiency in bacteria culture, plating, and food testing.

    + Knowledge of wet chemistry, titration, and pipetting.

    + Strong skills in quality control and quality assurance.

    + Familiarity with inspection, diagnosis, and data entry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Hands-on experience in microbiology and chemistry laboratories.

    + Attention to detail and strong observational skills.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in a laboratory setting within a food manufacturing facility. The role requires working the 3rd shift from 11pm to 7:30am. The environment emphasizes adherence to strict safety and cleanliness standards.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BALDWINSVILLE, New York.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
