Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the concepting, specification, and sourcing of automation systems for processing and quality testing of manufacturing parts. The role involves design approvals, oversight of system builds, leading installations, and launching systems while ensuring a seamless transition to plant manufacturing team ownership. Additionally, the engineer will support the development of plant-wide quality processes and data collection/retention systems. Establishing machine operating and test procedures and training peers and hourly team members in these methods are key components of this role.

Responsibilities

+ Concept, specify, and source automation systems for processing and quality testing of manufacturing parts.

+ Approve designs and oversee the build, installation, and launch of systems.

+ Lead transition of systems to plant manufacturing team ownership.

+ Support the development of plant-wide quality processes and data collection/retention systems.

+ Establish machine operating and test procedures, and train peers and hourly team members.

+ Track progress according to timing and budget, supporting program delivery teams.

+ Prepare reporting documentation and report directly to leadership.

+ Carry out responsibilities for total systems, with support from controls, ergonomic, safety, and process experts.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in process engineering and systems engineering.

+ Proficiency in PFMEA.

+ Experience within automotive manufacturing.

+ Ability to manage suppliers.

+ Experience with quality processes and data collection.

+ Knowledge of casting processes and material testing.

+ Expertise in automation systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with automation systems for obtaining test samples from parts.

+ Experience with automation systems for scrap recovery.

+ Experience with automation and process equipment for trimming manufactured parts.

+ Experience in material analysis laboratory building and associated equipment and methods.

+ Experience in gauging strategy and quality system development and documentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
