    Job Title: Process Engineer

    Job Description

    The Process Engineer will oversee the testing and separation of waste materials to meet customer specifications. This role involves running waste samples through a tabletop centrifuge, adjusting speeds, and adding polymers to ensure effective separation of solids and liquids. The engineer will compile results into reports for customer review. Additionally, the role includes pilot testing with mobile centrifuge units at customer sites.

    Responsibilities

    + Collect and test waste material samples using a tabletop centrifuge.

    + Adjust centrifuge speed and add polymers to optimize separation.

    + Compile test results into detailed reports for customer review.

    + Conduct pilot testing at customer sites using mobile centrifuge units.

    + Collaborate with the sales team to finalize sales based on successful test results.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Agricultural/Biological Systems, Chemical, or related field.

    + 3+ years of experience in process engineering or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    + Experience in process optimization, continuous improvement, and project management.

    + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

    + Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.

    + Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work effectively in a team.

    + Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50%-%75 of the time.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Recent graduates will be considered with training provided.

    + In-depth understanding of process engineering principles and practices.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is flexible with hours, allowing adjustments as long as 40 hours are completed weekly. The role includes frequent travel, with days off provided to compensate for extended work periods. The engineer will work both in lab settings and on-site with mobile units, requiring adaptability to different working conditions. OT is also apart of this job.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
