Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team, working in a dual role between two different food-grade labs. This is a full-time, first shift position located onsite at our facility, where you will play a crucial part in the sample preparation process, ensuring accuracy and excellence in lab testing.
Responsibilities
+ Execute preparation techniques for processing samples, utilizing equipment such as grinding mills, blenders, and liquid nitrogen.
+ Accurately label sample cups with unique identifiers and record details in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
+ Split responsibilities between sample processing and the Fibers Lab, focusing on the digestion of food products and the use of HPLC and Protein Analyzers.
+ Work collaboratively within a team environment, maintaining personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
+ Handle multiple tasks and projects with minimal guidance, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
+ Organize and manage sample delivery and disposal.
+ Submit samples to third-party labs, logging and preparing them for shipment.
+ Adhere to lab safety and quality protocols, including PPE, GMP, OSHA, and ISO standards.
+ Facilitate analytical testing, including Enzyme Digestion, LECO, Ash Analysis, and Protein Analysis.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience in a lab setting or an AS/BS in a science-related field.
+ 3-6 months of industry lab experience with sample preparation and analytical instruments, including HPLC or Protein Analyzers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
