    Job Title: Controls Engineer

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in San Mateo, CA.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Program and debug structured text and ladder logic across multiple PLC platforms (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Beckhoff).

    + Develop organized, maintainable, and reusable code for complex, multi-station machinery.

    + Design and implement HMI and SCADA systems using MappView/TwinCAT.

    + Integrate MES systems and enable data collection using Python scripting and SQL.

    + Create detailed electrical and fluid schematics using CAD or EPLAN.

    + Build electrical cabinets, perform field wiring, and execute pneumatic and fluid plumbing.

    + Manage suppliers during specification, design, buyoff, and installation of automated equipment.

    + Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally for materials sourcing and implementation.

    Essential Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

    + 5+ years of experience in Control Systems Design and Implementation.

    + Proficiency in structured text programming compliant with IEC-3 standards.

    + Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Beckhoff PLCs.

    + Strong CAD or EPLAN skills for schematic design.

    + Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience in electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, and pneumatic/fluid plumbing.

    + Proven ability to manage suppliers and oversee equipment installation.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr.
