**Position Title:** SMT Operator / Electronic Assembler
**Location:** Westminster, CO
**Shift:** Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (10% shift differential)
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as **SMT Operators / Electronic Assemblers** . This role involves operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines, as well as performing electronic assembly and inspection tasks. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in SMT operations, AOI inspection, and/or electronic inspection, along with IPC certifications (preferred).
Job Description:
As an SMT Operator, you will run SMT machines, ensure reels are set appropriately, monitor machines as they run and apply paste, and check boards using the AOI machine. You will perform limited electrical assembly of products, working within a team environment while reading and following manufacturing procedures and prints. This role requires a commitment to quality, always striving to meet or exceed customer expectations. You will be involved in various tasks, including small parts assembly and packaging, sometimes using a microscope depending on the job or customer order.
Responsibilities:
+ Run SMT machines and ensure reels are set appropriately.
+ Monitor machines during operation and apply paste.
+ Check boards with the AOI machine.
+ Perform limited electrical assembly of products.
+ Work within a team environment and follow manufacturing procedures and prints.
+ Develop basic job skills for advancement and growth.
+ Strive for quality to meet or exceed customer expectations.
+ Engage in small parts assembly, potentially using a microscope.
+ Assist with packaging tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ **Experience operating SMT or AOI machines ideal, but not required**
+ **Electronic assembly and inspection experience**
+ **IPC certifications preferred**
+ Strong hand dexterity and proficiency with hand tools
+ Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
+ Basic computer skills for machine interface and documentation
+ High attention to detail and commitment to quality
+ Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
