    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient shipment to customers, managing shipping functions, and supplying parts for final assembly. You will be responsible for moving parts from Market Areas to Assembly Lines and transporting finished goods to designated areas within the plant.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect racks for damage during unloading and cleaning, and remove old labels from empty racks.

    + Inspect staged shipments for damaged or improperly adjusted racks that could cause parts damage.

    + Inspect trailers for potential hazards before loading.

    + Pack service parts securely to prevent damage during transportation, and report any lack of packaging instructions.

    + Ensure bar code labels match part numbers on manufacturing labels and are scanned correctly.

    + Pull parts from stock in FIFO (first in first out) order for all shipment staging.

    + Practice proper material handling functions, supplying correct parts to assembly lines.

    + Report production activities when picking up and setting down racks.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position is within an automotive manufacturing environment, which is very fast paced. Forklift Operators will need to navigate through shipping/receiving and the assembly floor. This position does require a high level of skill and navigation.

     

    Shift: Days- 6 AM- 4:30 PM

     

    Nights- 6 PM- 4:30 AM

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.86 - $19.86/hr.
