Job Title: Tool Room Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Tool Room Technician for a 3rd shift position to join our team. This role involves repairing molds and performing preventive and reactive maintenance. The work schedule is from 10 pm to 6 am, starting on Monday night through Friday, with the possibility of a 6-day schedule including Saturdays.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot tool problems both conceptually and on the shop floor.
+ Perform conventional machining tasks such as lathe work, drilling, threading, tool sharpening, surface grinding, welding, and polishing.
+ Complete mold assembly, spotting, timing, and detailed finishing tasks.
+ Conduct revisions, repairs, and upgrades to molds or dies.
+ Operate all machines and tools proficiently for mold or die build and repair functions.
+ Review blueprints and programs, developing processes to complete tasks.
+ Maintain the quality of parts through inspection and communication with team members.
+ Collaborate with designers, programmers, and assemblers to produce or repair necessary components.
+ Identify process and equipment issues and suggest improvements.
+ Work alongside apprentices to enhance their skill levels.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of mold repair experience.
+ Proficiency with tool room equipment such as mills, lathes, Bridgeport machines, hand tools, and surface grinders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Tier 1 operations is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
Medical, dental, vision, 401k, 72 hours of sick leave

This is a fully onsite position in Orion,MI.
