Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join a dedicated team responsible for the repair and overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. Our company specializes in manufacturing and supplying braking systems, passenger doors, and climate-control equipment for Mass Transit companies. Your expertise will ensure these systems continue to operate efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities
+ Perform repairs and overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
+ Safely operate tools and machines while conducting maintenance tasks.
+ Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance promptly and efficiently.
+ Repair electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic components, pumps, controllers, motors, and other equipment as needed.
+ Replace light bulbs, electrical outlets, and conduits when necessary.
+ Inspect equipment and buildings internally and externally, performing preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
+ Prioritize and address maintenance requests for production processes or equipment, understanding the urgency of production needs.
+ Adhere to Lockout/Tag out procedures without exception when working on equipment.
+ Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment or machines and notify the Supervisor or Plant Manager as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting.
+ Experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems.
+ Ability to safely operate and maintain tools and machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of Lockout/Tag out procedures.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Work Environment
This role involves working in a shop environment with various physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and pushing/pulling. The job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. The work environment emphasizes safety and efficiency in all maintenance tasks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.52 - $36.68/hr.
