Job Title: Receiving Supervisor
Job Description
The Receiving Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper identification, inspection, and safe handling of incoming inventory and warehouse materials. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records according to incoming inspection quality requirements and ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment. The Supervisor also collaborates with material handlers to effectively plan and execute inventory movements, consolidations, cycle counts, and replenishments to meet production schedule demands.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct inbound small pack and container material inspections and receipts.
+ Ensure proper material put away and storage with clear marking and identification.
+ Proactively plan and manage inventory bins with respect to maximum on-hand quantities.
+ Develop and maintain a cycle count program in collaboration with accounting.
+ Develop and maintain a kanban-style supplies replenishment system.
+ Oversee and enforce safe inventory handling and storage procedures.
+ Manage primary bin replenishment and oversee all inventory transactions and material paperwork to ensure procedural compliance.
+ Achieve 99.5% inventory accuracy and preservation.
+ Ensure 99.5% just-in-time availability of warehouse supplies.
+ Train and manage personnel to follow receiving and material handling processes.
+ Maximize speed and efficiency in all material handling processes, including receiving, consolidation, transfers, replenishment, and picking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of inventory control and shipping/receiving supervisory experience.
+ Forklift operator certification.
+ Experience with ERP software preferred (e.g., Epicor, SAP, or similar).
+ Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
+ High organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
+ Safety- and quality-centered mindset and work ethic.
+ Ability to train, lead, and direct a small team.
+ Excellent understanding of the value and impact of inventory accuracy on the organization.

Work Environment
This position is based in a climate-controlled facility with a team of 15 people. The Receiving Supervisor will be trained and qualified to train others on equipment such as overhead cranes, dock levelers, sit down forklifts, stand up order pickers, and narrow aisle turret trucks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wentzville, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
