Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The role involves the installation of sheet metal and commercial HVAC duct work, including spiral and square duct work. You will work on HVAC mechanical installations, including roof top units, ventilation systems, fans, and duct work insulation. All work is performed throughout Long Island - current job site open is in New Hyde Park, NY.

Responsibilities

+ Install and maintain commercial HVAC duct work, including spiral and square duct work.

+ Work with various HVAC mechanical components such as roof top units and ventilation systems.

+ Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure precise installation.

+ Perform duct work insulation and ensure systems are secure and functional.

+ Use hand tools and adhere to safety standards using full PPE.

Essential Skills

+ 8-10 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal work.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

+ Strong skills in sheet metal and HVAC installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ OSHA 30 certification.

+ Experience with sheet metal fabrication.

+ Knowledge of duct work installation techniques and tools.

Work Environment

The role involves hanging ducts, handling air units, ducting, and performing full refrigerant copper line installations using zoom lock crimping. The work environment requires adherence to safety standards and the use of appropriate attire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
