Job Title: General Assembly and Machine Operator:

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced electronic manufacturing environment where you will utilize various hand tools and equipment to assemble, inspect, and test components. This role involves detailed work with mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, requiring excellent hand dexterity and organizational skills. You will be cross-trained across multiple stations, enhancing your skills and contributing to diverse processes.

Responsibilities

+ Use tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, wrenches, drills, and crimpers for various assemblies.

+ Perform tasks across multiple departments, requiring quick adaptation to complex processes.

+ Rotate stations daily, acquiring knowledge in different parts of the building.

+ Conduct manual labeling and printing, and prepare components for printed circuit boards.

+ Perform taping/masking of parts on printed circuit boards for coating processes.

+ Inspect component parts and reject defective ones before assembly.

+ Assemble and stuff components into printed circuit boards following instructions.

+ Conduct quality inspections at each stage to ensure products meet specifications.

+ Understand test processes in a contract manufacturing environment.

+ Assemble materials into product cartons and complete pre-assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.

+ Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.

+ Experience with soldering is preferred.

+ Capability to lift 25 pounds regularly.

+ Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment.

+ Detail-oriented with strong measurement understanding.

+ One year of general assembly or manufacturing experience.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with manual labeling and electronic assembly is a plus.

+ Capability to identify and apply very small components in tight spaces.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced electronic manufacturing environment where proper personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, gloves, and eyewear protection, is required. This role involves working in cleanroom conditions and rotating across various stations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakdale, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50/hr.

OT available for those that are solid.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Oakdale,MN.
