    Job Title: Shipping & Assembly Associate ($20-22/hr.+)

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Shipping Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products reach our customers accurately and on time. You will work with a dedicated team in a dynamic graphite manufacturing environment.

     

    _1 - 1st shift opening left (6:00am - 4:30pm working Monday through Friday, off at 3:30pm on Fridays)_

     

    _Opportunity for overtime pay rate of up to $31.50/hr._

    Responsibilities

    + Plan daily shipping activities by reviewing orders and schedules.

    + Monitor shipping reports and coordinate with the finishing assembly department.

    + Collaborate with the purchaser to determine necessary orders.

    + Package parts following final assembly and prepare for international shipping using UPS and FedEx.

    + Drive a tow motor and operate a pallet jack, as needed.

    + Lift up to 50 lbs for shipping preparations.

    + Train in our tagging process and use a drill press to tag discs.

    + Operate an air rivet or hand hammer for securing discs.

    + Utilize computer systems similar to ERP for tracking and reporting.

    + Assist in final packing, assembly, and labeling of inbound materials.

    + Follow work instructions and procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 1 year of shipping experience.

    + Proficiency with UPS and FedEx shipping processes.

    + Experience in preparing shipments and using computer systems.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Willingness to work in a graphite environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with drill press and tow motor operations.

    + Leadership experience is a plus.

    + Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a graphite manufacturing facility where areas may be slightly dirty due to the heat treatment process. The environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but break rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Our plant, located in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, is dedicated solely to the production of graphite rupture disks and adheres to high standards, including TUV, AD, and FDA compliance.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
