Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in a battery recycling facility by performing various tasks related to setting up and operating equipment. The position ensures high-quality product output and proper maintenance, including operating machinery, maintaining equipment, cleaning work areas, and following safety protocols. The role also involves moving finished products with forklifts and complying with environmental and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

+ Operate machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

+ Maintain and perform routine checks on equipment.

+ Move materials and finished products using a forklift.

+ Sort and package batteries and their components into appropriate containers.

+ Conduct quality checks on products and materials to ensure compliance with standards.

+ Report any defects or equipment issues to a supervisor.

+ Ensure the work area and equipment are kept clean and orderly.

+ Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in general production and machine operation.

+ Proficiency with hand tools.

+ Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

+ Ability to handle materials and operate a forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in construction or general labor is beneficial.

+ Attention to detail for conducting quality checks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
