Job Title: Industrial Forklift Operator
Job Description
Join our team as an Industrial Forklift Operator supporting the Block Plant. Your primary role will involve operating a Triple Tine forklift to transport finished pavers and large concrete blocks to designated storage areas. You will also assist in the manufacturing process, engaging in general labor duties and maintaining cleanliness within the plant.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a Triple Tine forklift to move pavers and large blocks.
+ Assist in the manufacturing process and perform general labor duties.
+ Engage in cleaning duties, including tank and line cleaning.
+ Set up equipment at the start of the shift and ensure proper operation.
+ Adhere to lock out/tag out procedures and safety measures.
+ Check in with other operators in various stages of the manufacturing process.
+ Manually lift blocks and remove equipment jams.
+ Ensure safe equipment operation and adherence to production schedules.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with industrial forklifts, especially on uneven ground.
+ Ability to operate heavy equipment, including a Double or Triple tine forklift.
+ Knowledge of machine operations and general labor tasks.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Computer savvy, with the ability to use a tablet for scanning labels.
+ Experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
+ Familiarity with overhead cranes and packaging processes.

Work Environment
The plant environment is extremely loud due to the operation of machinery, requiring provided ear protection. Steel-toed boots are mandatory. The facility is open-air and not climate-controlled, reflecting outside temperatures and is dusty due to the paver-making process. The second shift operates Monday through Friday with significant overtime, from 2:45 PM to 2:30 AM, including Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
