    • Block Machine Operator | $22–$23/hr | Wildwood, FL

    A concrete block manufacturer in **Wildwood, FL** is hiring a **Block Machine Operator** to run casting machinery and ensure quality production. This is a physically active role with strong overtime potential.

    **Schedule:** Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 4:00–6:00 PM

    **Hours:** 50–55 hrs/week

    **Pay:** $22–$23/hr (based on experience)

    Responsibilities:

    + Operate block casting machinery and perform visual inspections

    + Monitor startup/shutdown and hourly quality checks (height, moisture)

    + Adjust machine settings (timers, weights) and clear jams as needed

    + Perform basic preventative maintenance and clean machines

    + Ensure batching system settings match production specs

    + Scrape excess concrete and maintain a clean work area

    Qualifications:

    + Experience with concrete and machine operation

    + Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting skills

    + Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 12 hours

    + Comfortable reading a tape measure and following instructions

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous forklift experience preferred.

    + High school diploma required.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an outdoor environment covered by a pavilion. Be prepared for hot and cold conditions, as well as a dusty and dirty setting. The shift runs Monday through Friday, with frequent Saturday shifts, from 6 AM to 6 PM, totaling 60 hours a week. Personal Protective Equipment, including steel-toed boots, is required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wildwood, Florida.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
