Job Title: Entry Level Operator

Job Description

This entry-level operator will be assigned to a specific department, gaining skills to perform duties at a setup level within that area. For instance, an Operator in X department will work towards becoming a X Setup Operator, which comes with more responsibility and wage.

Responsibilities

+ Operate various types of equipment and make minor adjustments to maintain quality.

+ Read setup sheets and routing packages to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.

+ Conduct quality inspections according to written procedures.

+ Move parts to subsequent operations and document scrap

+ Operate hand pallet-jacks.

Essential Skills

+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

+ Proficiency in math including fractions, decimals, and metric measurements.

+ Ability to read and follow routing and setup instructions.

+ Proficiency in using measuring instruments like tape measures and dial calipers.

+ Ability to stand for 8 hours or more, with the physical capability to bend, twist, and lift parts.

Shifts are available from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm and 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, with the possibility of 50+ hours including weekends. Benefits include 401K matching, various insurance options, flexible spending accounts, PTO, and more.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.90/hr.
