Job Title: Framing Carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Metal Stud Framer to construct the frameworks of commercial and industrial buildings using metal studs. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, proficiency with hand and power tools, and adherence to safety protocols. The framer will measure and cut wood and metal, assembling them into frames using squares, levels, and hammers.
Responsibilities
+ Construct the framework of commercial and industrial buildings using metal studs.
+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Measure and cut wood and metal materials.
+ Assemble frames using squares, levels, and hammers.
+ Ensure adherence to all safety protocols on site.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in metal stud framing.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools including saws, drills, and levels.
+ Ability to use a carpenter's square and read blueprints.
+ OSHA 10 certification.
+ Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in framing, drywall hanging, and metal framing.
+ Proficiency in wood framing, acoustical ceilings, drywall finishing, and rough carpentry.

Work Environment
Work takes place on commercial construction sites. Although indoors, buildings may not be fully heated or cooled, so expect cold conditions in winter and hot conditions in summer. Join a team of over 55 employees ranging from helpers to superintendents. Work hours typically run from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, though they may vary depending on the general contractor's requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
