Job Title: Maintenance Technician - PAYING $21 TO $28 AN HOUR!!

Job Description

The Maintenance and Reliability Technician will be responsible for performing technical maintenance and repairs on swine facility equipment and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure the smooth operation of swine production processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general facility maintenance, and will suggest process improvements using data-supported decision making.

Responsibilities

+ Perform electrical and mechanical system repairs within swine facilities.

+ Maintain automated feeding systems, climate control systems, and waste management equipment.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.

+ Troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and more.

+ Perform structural repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, and welding.

+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

+ Maintain farm vehicles and manage tool inventory.

+ Collaborate with team members and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.

+ Proficient in using hand and power tools.

+ Experience with schematic and blueprint reading.

+ PLC troubleshooting and welding skills.

+ Strong skills in carpentry and plumbing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Capability in diagnostics assessments.

+ Experience in managing equipment maintenance infrastructure.

+ Ability to suggest process improvements.

Work Environment

This role operates in a very high-end swine operation, which, while cleaner than typical farms, still maintains some farm characteristics. Work hours are from 6 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. The dress code includes pants, t-shirts with necessary layers, and work boots, with steel toes not required but preferred. The team consists of over 100 members, and the culture emphasizes safety, community outreach, and teamwork.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $58240.00/yr.
