Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform their own set-ups and runs on the machine, with a strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency with Fanuc Controls is essential, and candidates must be ready to start with minimal training and direction.
Responsibilities
+ Perform set-ups and runs on CNC milling machines.
+ Utilize and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Operate using Fanuc Controls at the machine.
+ Work with a variety of tools such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and more.
+ Participate in a two-machine cell operation using a 3 Axis Mill and Mill Turn Lathe.
+ Ensure quality control through precise measurement and adjustments.
+ Collaborate with the team to maintain a cohesive work environment.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience.
+ Expertise in using Fanuc Controls.
+ Ability to perform independent machine set-ups and operations.
+ Strong understanding of G Codes and M Codes.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with 3 Axis-Kia's and Mill Turn.
+ Must have personal tools including 6” calipers, micrometer, dial indicator, edge finder, wrenches, and more.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled machine shop with a smaller team of around 50 employees. The first shift operates from 7am to 3:30pm, with the possibility of overtime and Saturday hours from 7am to noon. The dress code is casual, requiring jeans, T-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented culture.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
