Maintenance Technician-3rd Shift $30-34/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional electrical and mechanical aptitude, outstanding troubleshooting skills, and a high level of analytical ability. This role requires working closely with various team members and external vendors to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Work autonomously to repair complex electrical and mechanical equipment, communicating symptoms to vendors and executing suggested repairs.
+ Collaborate with Supervisors and Leads to restore faulted equipment by any necessary means, including contacting vendors and acquiring additional resources.
+ Connect and establish communication with PLC processors and modify ladder logic programs to diagnose and repair machine problems.
+ Perform operations necessary to repair machinery, including arc or gas welding, soldering, drilling, and tapping.
+ Replace bearings, shafts, gears, pins, and keys, and operate all equipment in the machine shop.
+ Conduct electrical troubleshooting using appropriate test equipment, and weld and build various components for machinery.
+ Determine if repairs can be made independently or if service technicians are required.
+ Analyze and diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems, physically tracing circuits if schematics are unavailable.
+ Plan, layout, and install circuits and distribution equipment in compliance with all applicable codes.
+ Fabricate, install, and repair electrical systems on production equipment using drawings and schematics.
+ Locate and resolve machine malfunctions, dismantling and reassembling as needed.
+ Repair, maintain, and assemble safety guards and various attachments.
+ Move heavy equipment within the plant area.
+ Take responsibility for safety and housekeeping, addressing any discrepancies immediately.
+ Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment.
+ Initiate contacts for engineering problem resolution and vendor assistance for technical support and parts availability.
+ Rebuild hydraulic valves, cylinders, and pumps.
+ Run plumbing and electrical services to new or relocated equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
+ Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial maintenance.
+ Knowledge of welding, brazing, and soldering.
+ Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical blueprints.
+ Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently.
+ Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to perform duties safely and with minimal supervision.
+ Proficiency in reading and writing English and performing simple arithmetic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with preventive maintenance practices.
+ Ability to see tasks through to completion without reliance on others.
+ Proper use of equipment and tools.
+ Capability to work in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment.

Work Environment
The work environment includes shifts from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The facility is non-climate controlled, with conditions that can be loud and dirty. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denison, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
