Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

Join a dynamic team where growth and opportunity abound. Our company is a subvendor for multiple industries, with a significant focus on the Department of Defense. We are primarily looking for skilled TIG welders to work on aluminum and stainless components. However, we welcome MIG welders who possess the right technical skills and are open to learning TIG welding.

Responsibilities

+ Interpret blueprints to ensure weldments meet specifications.

+ Perform TIG welding on materials ranging from 1/8" to 1/2" thick.

+ Grind own welds as necessary.

+ Work with products ranging in size from 1 foot to 30 feet.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of on-the-job welding experience, preferably TIG.

+ Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols, with proficiency tested during the interview.

+ Strong attention to detail, with measurements down to 1/64th tested during the interview.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with MIG welding.

+ Knowledge of aluminum and stainless steel fabrication.

+ Skills in fitting and fabrication.

Work Environment

Our company was founded by visionary fabricators and has grown to a 74,500 SF facility that serves a variety of industries, including paper converting, food processing, biomedical, and national defense. Our biggest client is the Department of Defense. Employees work in a highly skilled and efficient manufacturing environment. The first shift operates from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with 48-50 hour weeks typically, ensuring work-life balance by aiming to finish by 2:30 pm on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
