Job Title: Tool & Die Maker - 2nd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker for our 2nd Shift operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in die maintenance and troubleshooting within a metal stamping manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain close tolerance, compound, blank, draw, and progressive dies.
+ Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on dies.
+ Troubleshoot dies in the pressroom as needed.
+ Operate basic toolroom equipment safely.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Create and inspect spare parts and piece parts.
+ Generate sketches and drawings from concepts.
+ Log die performance and maintain accurate records.
+ Utilize basic computer and AutoCAD skills for documentation and design.
Essential Skills
+ 2 - 3 years of progressive die maintenance and repair experience.
+ Ability to utilize manual mills, lathes, and drill presses to maintain and repair dies.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
+ Experience with progressive die, metal stamping, and tool and die making.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ GD&T knowledge.
+ Ability to interpret AutoCAD prints.

Work Environment
The work is conducted in a metal stamping manufacturing environment. The 2nd shift hours are from 3:00 pm to 12:30 am, with an average of 5 hours of overtime per week. The role involves working with toolroom equipment and interpreting technical designs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $80000.00/yr.
