Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team in a precision metal fabrication environment. This role involves operating a 300-500 ton press brake and requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of blueprints and material handling.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a 300-500 ton press brake efficiently.
+ Receive and interpret job packets/work orders including BOM, run size, and blueprints.
+ Gather necessary materials and begin job orders as instructed.
+ Read and understand blueprints to construct products accurately.
+ Initiate product manufacturing through cutting, forming, shearing, and burning processes.
+ Communicate effectively with the next team member in the production process.
+ Welding (MIG) skills are highly advantageous.
+ Utilize CNC equipment to enhance production efficiency.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
+ Experience in a job shop environment.
+ Knowledge of BOM and purchase order procedures.
+ Fabrication and welding experience.
+ Strong math and geometry skills, including understanding of axes and angles.
+ Physical ability to lift 40+ pounds and perform tasks that require grabbing, bending, lifting, pulling, and standing for 8+ hours a day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Press brake experience is a plus.
+ Fitting and welding experience (MIG) is beneficial.
+ Experience with laser cutting is advantageous.
+ Any certifications, apprenticeships, or further education in related fields are considered a plus.

Work Environment
This role operates within a job shop manufacturing environment with approximately 60 employees on the first shift. Work may occur in one of two buildings, and conditions vary with the seasons, becoming warmer in summer and cooler in winter. The dress code includes safety glasses, steel toe shoes, jeans, and an appropriate T-shirt. Working hours are Monday-Thursday from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, with overtime every other weekend and potentially during the week.

This is a Contract position based out of Hilliard, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
