    Job Title: Packaging Operator

    Job Description

    As a Packaging Operator, you will work under close supervision to prepare, set up, weigh, package, fill, and label products. You will ensure all operations comply with cGMP Quality, Environmental Health Safety, and departmental procedures to meet customer demands. You will also handle hazardous materials using mandatory safety gear and operate production scales, including verifications and calibrations.

    Responsibilities

    + Work safely within the parameters of company Work Instructions and policies.

    + Weigh and fill chemicals or bulk products in accordance with Production Work Order (PWO).

    + Operate production scales, including verifications and calibrations.

    + Set up, operate, clean, and maintain equipment such as automatic heat sealers, floor and bench scales, crushers, auger filling units, autoclave units, vibrating filler units, induction sealing equipment, and exhaust hoods.

    + Package finished products for shipping, including boxing and labeling per Work Instructions.

    + Handle hazardous materials using appropriate safety gear.

    + Sweep and mop floors and clean workstations after each product filling.

    + Complete documentation legibly, verifying and reviewing for accuracy.

    + Maintain expected quality and quantity of work.

    + Follow cGMP policies and procedures for handling, storage, packaging, manufacturing, and distributing products.

    + Move partial leftover containers of product to designated areas for relocation back into stock.

    + Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss.

    + Support co-workers and work as a team player.

    + Turn off and shut down equipment when not in use.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    + Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

    + Reliability and attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    + Ability to convert using customary units and the metric system.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
