HR Generalist – Phoenix Home Care & Hospice – St. Louis, MO

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (No weekends!)

At Phoenix Home Care & Hospice, we believe HR is more than paperwork — it’s about people. We’re looking for an HR Generalist who thrives on connection, organization, and problem-solving. You’ll play a key role in onboarding, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations while helping shape a positive and supportive culture.

What You’ll Do:

+ Help manage all aspects of onboarding and orientation for new hires

+ Process employee documentation and maintain compliance across HR records

+ Conduct background checks and ensure timely hiring processes

+ Provide guidance and support to office and field staff on HR policies and procedures

+ Assist with employee relations, training, and engagement initiatives

+ Collaborate with leadership on special projects and continuous improvement

What You Bring:

+ 1+ year of HR or related administrative experience (healthcare preferred)

+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

+ Customer service mindset — approachable, patient, and professional

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems

+ SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred (not required)
