Job Overview
As Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing integrated electrical and mechanical systems, in compliance with the NEC (National Electric Code), IBC, U.L. and IEC requirements, ASCE, ASME, ASTM, and ASHRAE standards.
A Day In The Life
In this role, you will develop integrated systems, which includes large custom-built enclosures and skid-based systems to house electrical switchgear or mechanical systems for modular data centers, power equipment centers and integrated switchboards for the company’s stated markets. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in managing multiple concurrent projects, in an independent environment. Must be able to develop cost effective designs utilizing Solidworks 3D solid modeling, or equivalent. In addition, this position requires a good working knowledge of electrical equipment integration and mechanical design from both a structural standpoint and sheet metal fabrication. Frequent interface with customers, associates, and suppliers are required, so excellent communication skills are essential.

+ BSME, Technical Degree, or Commensurate Design Experience
+ 1-3 years’ work experience in a Design engineering
+ Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications
+ Must be proficient in Solidworks or Equivalent
+ Basic Understanding with integration of electrical and mechanical systems
+ Working knowledge of fabricated sheet metal products
+ Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015
+ Understanding of SAP ERP operating environment
+ Working knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL Standards
+ Working Knowledge of ASCE, ASME, ASTM, ASHRAE Standards
+ Strong interpersonal skills for developing and functioning in a team environment
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
