    Job Description

    Installs, maintains, repairs and replaces heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and other related equipment. Provides guidance to HVAC Mechanic B and other personnel assigned to projects.

    Job Responsibility

    1.Installs, maintains, repairs and replaces heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment throughout the hospital.

    2.Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.

    3.Assists Contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems, as needed.

    4.Provides guidance and instructions to HVAC Mechanic B and other personnel assigned to projects.

    5.Serves as a member of the Fire Response Team.

    6.Performs related duties, as required.

    Job Qualification

    * High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

    *Certificate of Fitness from NYC Fire Department required: F-60, G-60.

    *Certificate from the Department of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA 608 Universal Certification), required.

    * Minimum three (3) years of HVAC experience, required.

    * Ability to use tools of the trade and comprehend blueprints, required.

    * Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

    The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

     

    The salary range for this position is $40.51-$43.66/hour
