    **** Very Long term contract; Usually the project goes for 4+ years with this customer *** 37.5 hours per week ***Hybrid (Initial onsite to onboard then hybrid)

    Description:

    The candidate is dedicated to leading the IT functions for the Department of Finance. Principal responsibilities include strategic and technical leadership of a team which focuses on customer service, problem resolution, communication with all levels of the agency, strategic innovation, enterprise technologies, infrastructure, security, policies and procedures. The Director position promotes leading-edge thinking and develops innovative and best practice IT strategies that are aligned with business and government practices.

     

    Inspires and motivates staff by being a catalyst for visionary technology , creative problem solving, solution generation, implementation and teamwork.

     

    The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient application support, project management, effective production change management, comprehensive vendor management, stringent cybersecurity measures , and thorough quality assurance and testing. Additionally, the individual will serve as the escalation point for the DOF and DTIs Office of Partner Services, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory compliance.

     

    The individual will develop and implement strategic IT service frameworks, governance models, and communication plans to foster a cohesive IT environment and drive continuous improvement.

     

    This senior level position is responsible for the full life cycle of agency-wide hardware and software solutions and will assist in formulating and administering policies and procedures, including implementing long-range goals and objectives.

     

    The position requires high expectations of accomplishment and extraordinary strategic business and industry knowledge, ambition, talent, and people skills.

     

    This position will report to the DTI Chief of Partner Services and takes day-to-day direction from the Deputy Secretary of Finance.

    Responsibilities

    + Build and maintain a successful customer service focused IT brand that strives to continuously improve.

    + Implements and uses metrics to identify improvement opportunities and monitor performance success, evolve metrics with the changing technology landscape and needs of the business.

    + Implements and maintains a multi-resource (internal/external staffing) and business efficient IT service delivery program.

    + Owns managed service vendor relationships within scope.

    + Owner and executor of multi-year road maps for people, process, and technology of each division of the Department of Finance.

    + Accountable for creating inclusive, transparent, and highly connected business relationships with internal customers and external partners. Maintains extensive documentation and delivers updates and reporting to senior leadership with meaningful metrics and insights on scope of work and services.

     

    Preferred Qualification

     

    + College degree or equivalent professional experience.

    + Expertise in at least one core functional area of IT - such as Cybersecurity, Applications Development & Management, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Program & Project Management, Enterprise Architecture, Governance, Risk, & Compliance, End-user Computer Collaboration, IT Process Management.

    + Enterprise contract review and negotiation experience.

    + Proven ability to recruit and retain talent.

    + Advanced ability to mentor and develop team members.

    Required Skills:

    + Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership.

    + Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience leading a technical team.

    + Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic planning demonstrating the ability to develop, analyze and decide among alternative solutions to current and anticipated IT needs.

    + Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
