Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers working on moderately complex tasks.

+ Offer input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiency and team functionality.

+ Execute creative software design, development, and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical challenges.

+ Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

+ Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 7+ years of applied experience.

+ Minimum 3+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.

+ Hands-on leadership at code level in Python, Azure SDK, and proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

+ Expertise in Azure services - Storage, Compute, Integration, IAM, and Network.

+ Practical experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure cloud-native solutions.

+ Proficiency in automation and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker.

+ Experience with version control systems (Git).

+ Knowledge of Azure policy writing, testing, and cloud security best practices, with a strong understanding of Azure governance.

+ Strong ability to guide and coach teams toward achieving goals aligned with strategic initiatives.

+ Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing technical talent.

+ Demonstrated experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

+ Understanding of Azure AI services.

+ In-depth knowledge of the services industry and related IT systems.

+ Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
