The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will play a key role in supporting the organization’s human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and policy implementation. This position ensures HR practices are aligned with business goals and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Position Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
+ Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
+ Lead employee engagement initiatives and support a strong, positive workplace culture.
+ Work with HR management to continue developing organizational processes and procedures.
HR Policy Implementation
+ Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
+ Assist in updating and communicating HR policies in compliance with employment laws.
+ Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies.
Recruitment & Onboarding
+ Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
+ Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
+ Facilitate onboarding processes and orientation programs for new hires.
Training & Development
+ Support the development and delivery of training programs, including strong presentation skills.
+ Track employee training and development activities.
+ Assist in identifying skill gaps and recommending learning solutions.
Performance Management
+ Support the performance review process and goal-setting initiatives.
+ Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues.
+ Coach managers on appropriate performance documentation and assist in employee development and improvement plans.
HR Administration & Compliance
+ Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
+ Prepare reports and metrics for HR and leadership teams.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and provide support on ADA and FMLA compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with employees at all levels.
+ Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
+ Ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions and to effectively problem-solve.
+ General knowledge of HR Laws, including but not limited to ADA, FMLA, required.
+ Ability to regularly work in the office and attend in-person meetings
+ Ability to communicate effectively via email, chat, phone, and in-person meetings
+ Requires regular, reliable, and on-time attendance
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
+ 3–6 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
+ Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ SHRM or SHRM-CP certification, preferred.
