    Job Description

    The Information Specialist II will play a critical role in providing technical library operations, data management, and support for security documentation and coordination within various Government driven programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical and administrative support, with requisite proficiency in documentation services, data entry, and management, along with familiarity with Government and Army regulations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Library Operations:* Administer and maintain the Technical Library, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and checkout of materials* Categorize, catalog, and file a wide range of materials, including documents, tapes, and digital media* Maintain physical organization and perform bibliographic and physical maintenance tasks such as binding and repairing documentsDocumentation Services:* Prepare, format, and edit test-related plans, reports, and other documents* Produce memos, forms, reports, and graphs using commercial software, ensuring compliance with technical and procedural standards* Support the preparation and revision of operation and safety SOPs, environmental documentation, and implementation test plansData Management:* Operate, maintain, and update data management systems, including inputting data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness* Support the reproduction, destruction, and secure handling of test-related data between locations* Develop and maintain databases for documentation and data tracking, facilitating easy retrieval and reportingSecurity Documentation and Coordination:* Perform duties related to security documentation, ensuring documents adhere to control and privacy requirements* Coordinate security clearances and access permissions for personnel, maintaining up-to-date records as per Government regulations* Support security inspections and prepare security-related documentation and reportsUser Support:* Provide training and guidance to users on library systems and data management processes* Serve as a point of contact for technical guidance regarding the capabilities and usage of library resources and data management tools* Assist users in preparing for and executing their technical and administrative tasks, ensuring they adhere to applicable standards and proceduresInspection and Quality Assurance:* Maintain logs of all technical library and data management activities* Perform regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with protocol and accuracy* Support Government inspection by providing access to records and assisting in the evaluation of document quality and security adherence* Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or five years of direct experience in data management and technical library operations* Proven experience in the preparation, storage, and management of technical documents and data* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other documentation tools* Strong knowledge of database management and electronic documentation processes* Familiarity with Government and Army regulations regarding document handling, data security, and related protocols Physical Demands and Working Conditions* This job operates in a professional office environment.
