    * **Work location:** Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft. Worth, TX 76104

    * Therapy Services

    + **Work hours:** PRN, mainly weekdays between 8:00AM-4:30PM, on an as needed basis, Weekend Requirement - 1 weekend day per quarter (every 3 months); Holiday - rotation for on-call coverage for holidays.

    Therapy Services highlights:

    * Supporting the 815-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital that has served the Ft. Worth and surrounding community since 1930

    * Supportive team of over 40 Occupational Therapists in an acute care trauma hospital - focus on inpatient.

    * Assist with splinting and wound care.

    Here's What You Need

    + Bachelor's Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program Required

    + No Experience required - new grads are welcome!

    * OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire Required And

    * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.

    * Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

    * Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.

    * Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

    What You Will Do

    * Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

    * Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

    * Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home

     

    programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

     

    * Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

    * Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel

    * Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
