Staff Accountant

St. Louis, MO

Description

+ Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, including coordination with financial institutions and cross-departmental communication to resolve discrepancies and vendor payment inquiries.

+ Support capital investment processes by collaborating with project managers to initiate, close, and report on capital projects for sr leadership.

+ Execute monthly depreciation runs and calculate quarterly capitalized interest as part of fixed asset accounting duties.

+ Assist with customer insurance documentation by working with third-party providers.

+ Provide management with financial analyses, particularly related to cash flow and operational reporting.

+ Record various month-end journal entries, including payroll, asset transactions, banking activity, and tax-related entries.

+ Prepare monthly reconciliations for a variety of balance sheet accounts.

+ Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in accounting.

• Professional accounting designation preferred (such as CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, CMT).

• 3+ years of accounting experience

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions

• Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts

• Strong Excel skills, especially financial modeling and analytical techniques

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
