Job Title: Logistics Analyst 2
Job Description
The Logistics Analyst 2 plays a critical role within the Prime Product Transportation team, focusing on enhancing data quality and improving rail operations. This position involves collaborating with ocean carriers, rail providers, and internal transportation team members to ensure timely delivery of products to dealers and customers. The Logistics Analyst will also be responsible for developing standard processes and improvements within rail operations and ensuring the accuracy of data within our reporting systems.
Responsibilities
+ Support the Prime Product Transportation (ocean) team with a focus on data quality and rail operations.
+ Collaborate with ocean carriers and rail providers to enhance on-time performance.
+ Conduct rail track and trace activities and escalate issues related to cargo dwell times to rail providers.
+ Develop and improve standard processes for rail operations.
+ Run reports to ensure that milestones within reporting systems are accurate and up-to-date.
+ Work with the Prime Product Trade Lane Management Teams.
+ Interact with approximately 15 to 20 different team members.
+ Report directly to the Transportation Manager.
Essential Skills
+ 2-4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking.
+ Experience with MS Office applications, including Excel (pivot tables and vlookups), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
+ High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or BA accepted with less experience.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with PowerBi, Tableau, and Salesforce is desired.
+ Internships in related fields are considered as job experience.
+ Background in transportation, logistics, or supply chain roles is beneficial.
Work Environment
The Logistics Analyst 2 will work in an environment that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of approximately 15 to 20 members. The position is not remote and requires working closely with the transportation team and various external providers. The ability to adapt to a dynamic work setting and continuously improve processes is essential. Dress code and other specific work environment details are not specified.

This is a Contract position based out of Morton, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
