Job Title: Lab Clerk - 1st Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Lab Clerk to join our team at the Knoxville, TN Lab. This role requires full-time onsite presence during the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, with hours from 7am to 3:30pm. The position also includes opportunities for the person hours, with a requirement to work every other Saturday.
Responsibilities
+ Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
+ Document materials, supplies, and specimen receipts on appropriate logs, and reconcile products against packing lists.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve in-bound and out-bound sample shipment delays.
+ Organize materials, supplies, and specimens in appropriate storage areas and inspect stocks.
+ Ensure inventory controls, security, and accountability of materials and goods.
+ Prepare and organize materials for shipment to other locations, maintaining shipping records.
+ Follow all safety regulations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
+ Maintain the facility, including laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, and complete necessary documentation.
+ Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and promote EHS/safety actions.
+ Maintain professional image and confidentiality of company records and information.
+ Lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.
+ Prior experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics.
+ Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
+ Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
+ Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance is advantageous.
Work Environment
The role is based in Knoxville, TN and requires 100% onsite presence. The work schedule is the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with additional hours every other Saturday. The environment is fast-paced with frequent interruptions and requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens. Personal protective equipment is required frequently, and the ability to handle bio-hazardous waste safely is necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
