IT Support EngineerJob Overview

We’re seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for desktop, notebook, and mobile computing equipment. This role involves both hardware and software troubleshooting, coordination with internal teams and external vendors, and occasional travel to remote locations across the region.

Key Responsibilities

+ Administer and maintain desktop, notebook, and mobile computing devices, along with related peripherals.

+ Provide support for general and specialized software applications and hardware.

+ Assist with installation and maintenance of IT equipment in field vehicles.

+ Collaborate with vendors to resolve workstation-related issues.

+ Coordinate with Tier 1 and Tier 3 support teams to address escalated technical problems.

+ Utilize an internal ticketing system to manage and track support requests.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the agency.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in supporting Windows desktop operating systems and common productivity applications.

+ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

+ Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.

+ Capable of providing Tier 2 support to other IT personnel.

+ Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and retain training.

+ Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.

Work Schedule & Location

+ Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

+ Primary office location: Frankfort, KY

+ Travel to remote sites across the region is required; a company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.

Requirements

+ Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks related to equipment setup and maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
