Position Summary

As a DOT-certified driver, you’ll play a key role in delivering lift truck equipment, supporting operations, and ensuring safe, reliable transport across our territory. What You’ll Do
* Safely operate company vehicles in full compliance with DOT regulations.
* Transport goods between facilities, vendors, and customer locations.
* Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams.
* Ensure timely deliveries while upholding all safety standards.
* Inspect and operate tractor-trailer trucks safely and in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws.
* Inspect equipment and secure loads safely using proper tie-down methods; apply rain protection as needed.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, logs, and required documentation.
* Inspect customer facilities before unloading to confirm clearances, heights, widths, and suitable unloading locations.
* Inspect Malin equipment at customer sites before loading; photograph and document any damage.
* Immediately report and document any accident, near-miss, or traffic violation to the Transportation Manager.
* Fuel vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and make minor repairs as needed; coordinate major repairs with the Transportation Manager.
* Inspect trucks daily and during scheduled maintenance intervals; keep vehicles clean and presentable at all times.
* Must be physically capable of performing all essential job duties (see physical requirements below).
* Will be required to attend paid training at our Addison Headquarters facility for 3-4 weeks where we provide lodging and meals and where you're also free to go home during the weekends.
What We’re Looking For
Professional Experience
* Two or more years of experience driving tractor-trailer trucks (40,000 lbs. or greater).
* Working knowledge of DOT and Railroad Commission regulations.
* Valid Class A CDL with an excellent driving record.
* Ability to operate a manual transmission (must pass driving test).
* Experience with Oversize/Overweight permits required.
* HAZMAT endorsement preferred (non-tanker), or willingness to obtain after hire.
* Forklift operation experience preferred (training provided after hire).
* Must be able to load, secure, transport, and unload cargo at destinations.
Physical Requirements
* Must pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
* Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. regularly.
* Ability to drive for extended periods, including overtime, within the city and over-the-road to regional locations.
* Use of a smartphone required for communication with branches and destinations when not operating a vehicle.
* Regular loading and unloading at ground level required.
