Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Security Guard maintains a secure and safe environment for all personnel and property. This role is responsible for overseeing access control, monitoring surveillance systems, and documenting daily activities to prevent unauthorized entry or loss. When necessary, the Security Guard acts as a first responder to incidents and emergencies, coordinating with appropriate authorities to ensure quick resolutions.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Warn appropriate personnel of rule infractions or violations
+ Monitor security cameras and fire, building, and alarm systems
+ Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
+ Issue security badges as needed
+ Control personnel, visitor, and contractor access to Dish Network facilities
+ Maintain an event log of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
+ Operate computer systems supporting computerized security programs
+ Respond to alarms, security situations, and other incidents taking action as directed to resolve the problem
+ Call the police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or the presence of unauthorized persons
+ Interact with all levels of employees, work in a team setting, perform 50% remote desk duty, create employee badges, monitor security systems, complete site walks within the building and external property grounds
+ Schedule: 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Tuesday - Saturday with 15% Shift Differential (subject to change)
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education & Experience:
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ 1 year of experience as a military police, civilian police, or corporate security officer
Skills and Qualifications:
+ General computer experience with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel as well as general office skills
+ Some experience in operating access badge systems, CCTV, and Fence Disturbance Sensors
+ Intermediate verbal communication skills
+ Intermediate written skills
+ Specialized training or education in the security field
+ Ability to work any shift as needed
+ Job may require occasional night and/or weekend shifts
+ Job may require exposure to exterior weather conditions
+ Job may require occasional lifting of 50lbs
+ Job may require short notice/no notice overtime work schedules

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $15.90/Hour - $22.70/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
